Podcasts

A podcast is a series of digital computer files, usually either digital audio or video, that is released periodically and made available for download by means of web syndication.

Like the term broadcast, podcast can refer either to the content itself or to the method by which the content is syndicated; the latter is also called podcasting.

A podcaster is the person who creates the content.

Go to:

www.youtube.com

and search for a podcast tutorial

Do 3 or 4 Google and other searches to gather enough information to be able to give a brief summary of the concept and possible uses of podcasts to the rest of the group.

  2. Part A. 4 Questions.Blogs
    1.We like the 2nd and 3rd blogs.
2.We don't like the first blog, because everything in it was mixed up. It has to much information without any order. There is no specific topic about.
    3. We recommend to have a blog master, to order and identify the specific topics within the blogspot in the first blog. We couldn't identify the subject of the blog. We recommend to restructure the format of the blog.
    4. Yes, it was easy to surf the three blogs.

  3. 1: What do you like about these blogs ?
They are very funny and friendly with the user, the information is general, but really interesting for most of the people. Some of them take you to very interesting links.

The second blog is written by an educator but in a language easy to understand by students, the main target of the blog.

2: What don’t you like about them ?
Two of them have the same design (page layout)taking out originality. You can not say what the main theme is in the first blog.

3: What would you like to do to ‘improve’ them ?
I will change the looking on the second blog as it is related to nature. Should show nature and gree everywhere!

4: Did you find them easy to surf?

Not so easy, it was very slow, probably because the wireless.

    We´ve just created a wiki team: http://ramteam.pbworks.com
Individually we created a blog into the link: http://uvmmty.blogspot.com

  11. PART A
All three blogs had a lot of info, some put in a more fun way than others.
In the first one it was very simple to follow links and get deeper into it, in the third one it would tell you to follow the link, but you couldn't just click on it and go, that would be something to improve.
All of them were easy to surf, except for the links in the third one, but other than that, it was very simple.

    PART B
Done :) Learned about Zwiki, Plone and Zope... interesting, don't understand it all yet, but interesting.

    PART C
It seems to be easy enough to start a wiki or a blog, you need to be willing to learn, that is all.
Before I create one, I would have to have a very clear goal in mind. I would have to plan carefully where I want to go with it.
I would have to decide on a catchy name, the reason behind my blog or wiki, I need to plan who and where this is going to be seen.
A lot to think about it.

    PART D
So much useful advice, but I will write only a couple of things.
The name has to have a purpose, but at the same time it needs to say "Pick me! Pick me!", we are not one of the bunch.
The section on what to do and what not to do, was very interesting to me too, since it gives very practical advice. We need to be aware of what doesn't work, if they have in that section, people have tried it and it didn't work, so, let's learn from others. They gave a really good example with something as simple as the colors, what colors work and the colors that don't work. All we have to do is follow the leaders.

    PART E
Podcasts... still working on this one.

OUR GROUP STARTED WORKING ON A WIKI, WE ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH IT, BUT WE ARE PRESSING ON, AND STARTED ALSO A BLOGSPOT. FOR THE PRESENTATION WE WILL BE WORKING ON A THIRD PROJECT.
